It’s time to celebrate our furry friends and make a difference! Pooch Playoffs is back—our annual, friendly, bracket-style competition to crown the “Ulti-Mutt” Cutie, while benefiting the Prairie Paws Animal Shelter in Manhattan, KS.
How It Works
Register: Click the link below to reserve you spot for February 8, 22, or March 1. Pay your $100 reservation fee (which will be fully donated to Prairie Paws). Karen will follow up with a questionnaire and a phone call before your session.
Portrait Session: Your beloved pooch will enjoy their very own portrait session, capturing their unique charm and personality. Portraits will be taken at Karen Schroeder Photography Studio.
Selection Session: You’ll schedule a time to come to the studio to view your portraits and pick your competition and key chain image.
Voting: Once all the selections are made, the bracket competition begins online during March Madness! Rally your friends and family to vote for your pup.
What’s Included:
🐾 A custom keychain featuring your favorite portrait of your pet.
🐾 A S’Wag Bag filled with goodies for you and your pooch.
Make a Bigger Impact
Love your pooch’s portraits? You’ll have the opportunity to purchase custom artwork. Plus, 10% of all artwork sales will go directly to Prairie Paws, helping more animals find loving homes.

About Prairie Paws Animal Shelter
Based out of Ottawa, Kansas, Prairie Paws entered a partnership with the City of Manhattan to administer the 12,000 square-foot facility formerly known as the T. Russell Reitz Animal Shelter. You can learn more about Prairie Paws and see what animals are available for adoption on their website.
As a mom of two pups and a kitty, I know how special they can be. I also know what it's like when they are no longer with us! I love seeing the portraits I've made of our family pets over the years.
As a portrait photographer, I not only capture humans, but also your furry family members.
